How to use these hiding guides

A search is a short change of priority inside the longer party task. Stop the current chore when the countdown starts, reach usable cover and watch the inspection. Standing next to furniture is different from entering its hiding interaction. If no breath prompt appears, check that first before assuming the button has failed.

Cover choice and breath timing solve different problems. A distant favourite spot may be a poor immediate destination, while holding breath too early spends the meter before the close inspection. Use the ranking for ordinary-search access priorities and the troubleshooting page for the symptom you can actually observe. Pinkie’s spoken restrictions are a separate story and replay question.

Hiding questions

Does a high-ranked hiding place remove the breath interaction?

No. The comparison describes practical access and scene restrictions; it does not establish immunity. Watch the inspection prompt and meter after entering cover.
