- Position: For the PINKIE PROMISE chicken task, walk behind the chickens to guide them toward the coop.
- Destination: Keep the coop entrance in view, finish the livestock objective and then continue toward the train station.
Start behind the chicken, facing the coop
Applejack’s useful instruction is to walk up behind the animals. Approach from the side that lets you guide the chicken toward its destination, rather than standing between it and the coop entrance.
Correct your position instead of circling without a goal
Think of each approach as a direction choice: the animal is in front of you, and the coop is where you want it to go. If the chicken has moved off that line, reposition behind it before continuing. This recommendation follows the herding instruction; it does not rely on an invented pickup button or hidden item.
Keep the entrance itself visible so that you can tell whether your approach still points toward it. Rushing past the chicken can leave you needing to get behind it again. A deliberate approach is easier to follow than repeatedly crossing its path from different sides.
Leave once the livestock objective is finished
The task belongs to the farm evacuation. Once you have completed it, follow the route to the station instead of returning to the burning barn to repeat the earlier firefighting interaction.
