- Find the key: When PINKIE PROMISE gives you the spare-key objective, search the dresser by the big bed.
- Continue the investigation: Use the spare key at Pinkie’s door, then examine the room’s items. The recipe and pony pictures are story clues.
Use the dresser named by the objective
The useful landmark is the big bed and the dresser beside it. Follow the spare-key task to that furniture, obtain the key and return to the locked private-room door.
Do this when the story has reached the investigation task. Pinkie introduces the room earlier as a place you should not enter, so seeing the locked door during the tour does not mean you should abandon the current party objective to search for a shortcut.
Open the door and investigate the items

- Get the spare key
Search the dresser by the big bed while the key objective is active. Take the actual key before returning to the door.
- Unlock Pinkie’s door
Use the acquired key at the locked private-room entrance. A remembered location is useful only after you have the item needed to open it.
- Examine what is inside
Read the cupcake recipe and inspect the pictures. Continue the room’s investigation objective rather than treating entry alone as the finished task.
The cupcake recipe shows ordinary ingredients with the secret ingredient crossed out. The pony pictures add another unsettling detail to the party setting. You can use those clues to think about Pinkie’s preparations without inventing a missing ingredient or claiming that a picture supplies an escape code.
Keep the room task and search danger in view

For a deliberate replay, it helps to separate two goals: entering the room for story progression and looking more closely at its clues. Finish the required interaction first, then revisit the meaning of the objects once the larger chapter makes sense.
